Opportunities for Advanced Work and Support

Waverly-Belmont strives to grow every student, every day, and for some students that means they benefit from additional opportunities to learn through advanced content and more complex process/products beyond their current grade level.

Through the MNPS Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Program, students can receive a variety of services ranging from academic talent development to pullout course work in GATE classes with unique instruction focused on concepts, issues, and intriguing themes.

Students are identified for this program using an equitable multiple measures screening process that strives to support students with untapped abilities as well as students with high achievement profiles.
